Defects with the iPhone 4: the first problems
In this opinion we will explain the first serious problems have been detected in the new Apple device, the iPhone 4.
We are located in the U.S., where 1.7 million iPhones were sold in 4 weeks of its release, becoming one of the best selling devices in history in so little time. Well, two law firms in the state of Maryland have filed a joint lawsuit against Apple and the telecom company AT & T because many users have complained of problems with coverage or cuts on your calls or data transmissions.
We have to first put us a while to understand what happens. AT & T is a telecommunications company which has the exclusive contract to sell the iPhone 4 in the U.S., and that in turn, is responsible for ensuring the correct operation of communications signals. The iPhone 4 iPhone as most data connection, has its communications antenna on the bottom right, most mobile phone antennae located at the top as there are less likely to be obstructed by objects that will reduce the quality of the signal. This location of the antenna in the iPhone is creating major problems such as left-handed people naturally plug this antenna with your hand to pick up the phone, and according to many users diminishes the quality of the signal. This case and others has led to several users together with two law firms file suit against Apple and AT & T. In this lawsuit claim several things: first to be discovered (U.S. law firms are very conducive to the public trials mendiante relevant advertising) and secondly a profit (the plaintiffs seek compensation for the problems they have caused ).
Apple has responded by making public a note that explains and apologizes mainly that the problem has been detected, and it is because the software is responsible for displaying the user's iPhone signal bars (those bars in all mobile indicate coverage), say the software miscalculates the bars and most times even 2 bars showing more than you should leave, provcando a user believes it has good coverage when the signal is very low and may well cut the communication.
This was the note that Apple has released, accusing the software, of course, they themselves have been developed and tested, Or does launch a product without having a correct and logical testing process?. Apple not only stop there but states that anyone who has problems with the iPhone 4 has a 30 day warranty for return and will be refunded your money in full.
This announcement Apple seems to be a strategy to buy time so we can further investigate what is happening. What we have very clear is that there are problems in communication, many users on forums are complaining, and we doubt that things are "point" like a bad cover, more like a problem in the telecommunications system of the iPhone 4.
Do we really believe that a device can be worth so much money that has been developed by a number infamous staff, who will have passed various testing cycles can have these serious errors in communications?
If the answer is YES, we have to worry much, since it is a clear indication that these products are not designed and developed to comply with a set of standards and be properly validated by expert personnel. It's like when we go to a Chinese bazaar we bought a flashlight and takes 1 hour when it should take 3 hours, I waited for four dollars, quality, probably not. This is not the case, we pay a lot for a product that should work correctly, since its main claim is that, the flexibility to exchange data or obtain data.
If the answer is NO, in the society we live in, where what matters is not the quality of the product but the cost of the development, implementation and marketing, at last, after all, the important thing is to get a product different and be the first.
These problems are a very bad image to Apple, and especially give food for thought. Honestly with the little experience I have in technology, there is a phrase that I accept it as mine, "technology should never be riding the wave, we have to find what you need at the lowest possible cost," mainly what I mean is to be the latest in technology is an economic waste that many can not endure.
